It seems that it's not a container. There are another direction facing ones, so shard specific or can be turned by decor-tool.
Lenshire is a Baron of Jhelom. He was involved in an event when UO:SE were getting ready; Jhelom was invaded by strange pirates and Baron's belongings were took away to their den.
There is a variant, word Lenshire with quotation mark. Maybe a shard specific.

It listed as all-shards item, but as far as I know it's reported only on GL.
You see a similar item A Glass Shard next, but it's unsure where they came from. The number of them found in game is about less than 10 as well.
The quantity is said 12, I suppose it's 6 Diamond Shards on GL and 6 Glass Shards on another shard.

*edit 2* mdacc moved A Diamond Shard and Flawless Diamond(see below) to LS specific, and modified the quantity. These are actually considered as at least not all-shards item now.
I guess 2 similar events took place on LS and GL. I'm 100% sure GL had an event like I'm going to refer to, as UOSS's GL news reporter Lady Lava reported it on GL News.

An outline of the event on GL:
Royal guards were called for crafting supreme weapon against evil. The hardest and sharpest material was required.
Players were head to Umbra according to information, where revenant-shaped event monsters ambushing.
About 12 Flawless Diamonds and some black halberds(see Halberd, GL III) were looted off their corpses after the battle.
Then they returned to blacksmith shop inside castle. The royal butler Sebastian needed 6 Flawless Diamonds to be donated by owner to craft a supreme sword.
6 donors gave away their Flawless Diamonds, A Glass Sword was created by an event smith.
The smith returned A Diamond Shards to each 6 donors, so about 6 Flawless Diamonds remained in other players hands.

We can see a slight color differences from each other. There are 3 colors as far as I know.
Maybe it depends on shard.
